Her Summer Hack
About Event Women in Tech, this is for you. A one-day summer hack in Zurich: We'll start the day with a bit of movement by the lake, build on agentic challenges, and wrap it up with a MISS LIQUID bar by the water. You’ll get credits from Lovable and Anthropic to build your ideas. (Thanks!) Apply to join, but be quick, spots are limited to 50 participants. Women Hackathon: Shaping the Future
Are you looking for a day that sparks ideas, builds meaningful connections, and gives your career a real head start? Join us for a Women Hackathon: Shaping the Future, EY’s one-day hackathon created by women, for women, where creativity, data, and purpose come together to make a difference. This year’s challenge invites you to explore innovative solutions to real-world problems. You will spend the day collaborating in teams, coding, analysing, and problem-solving, with the support of EY mentors and experts from academia, government, and business. What to expect The program includes sessions with EY leaders and other inspirational speakers, such as Dr. Christine Choirat from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office and Zeynep Savaseri from HerCode, among others. Additionally, there will be an optional yoga break to help maintain high energy levels throughout the day. You will have the opportunity to meet EY professionals, gain valuable career insights, and experience what it is like to work on meaningful projects. After the final presentations, we will conclude with an Apéro and networking session in a relaxed environment, allowing you to celebrate ideas, meet new people, and continue the conversation. External Speakers: Pauline Maury-Laribière Pauline Maury-Laribière is a Data Scientist at the Swiss Federal Statistical Office, where she develops data science solutions across the federal administration. She is currently pursuing a part-time PhD at the University of Geneva, focusing on enabling secure health data analysis through privacy-enhancing technologies. Pauline holds a Master’s degree in Robotics from EPFL and has previous experience in deep learning, large-scale engineering, and applied analytics across both industry and the public sector. Dr. Christine Choirat, Head of the Data Science & AI Section, Swiss Federal Statistical Office Christine leads teams working on data science and AI for Switzerland’s public sector, supporting the Confederation, cantons, and communes in using advanced analytics responsibly in real-world settings. She began her career with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris Dauphine and later worked at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a Senior Research Scientist. Her work connects rigorous statistical methods with practical impact, including contributions to large-scale environmental and health studies published in The New England Journal of Medicine and Science. She has taught AI and data science at Harvard, EPFL, ETH Zurich, and the University of Geneva, and enjoys working with students who are just starting to shape their own paths in the field.
